Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is a mercurial musician and singer who blends the soul of gospel and jazz with R&B to create a unique mix. Sunshine has performed everywhere from Broadway to The Democratic National Convention to the European club and festival scenes. Sunshine is Denise White. She hails from Chester Pennsylvania, where she began her music career performing on the piano as well as singing at church. She attended Spellman College in Atlanta where she started her musical apprenticeship in the city's R&B scene. The Fighting Temptations The single which featured her vocals Stalk You A House 12 was released only in Japan. The song has been remixed numerous times and it's a major part in her live performance. The singer has also provided her voice in The Fighting Temptations' soundtrack. In 2005, she was hired to be the main keyboardist for Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, a Grammy- and Tony Award winning vocalist who has worked on stage production Dreamgirls in the National Black Arts Festival of Atlanta in 2007 invited her to serve as the leader of the choral group for the stage production. Sunshine gained national recognition for her daily shows in 2008 at the Democratic National Convention. She got invited to perform during President Obama's inaugural in 2009.
