Jeanie Marie Buss has been an American Entrepreneur for more than 20 years. She is the owner and the president of the Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss is a California native, Buss has been raised by an extremely wealthy family. Their father Jerry Buss was a real-estate tycoon, who was later the manager of the Lakers and other businesses related to sports. After her parents split up in 1972, she believed they had abandoned her. When she was 19 years old, she became the General Manager for the Los Angeles Strings, a professional tennis club. She later set up an organization called the Los Angeles Blades professional roller hockey team. The position she held was president of Great Western Forum prior to becoming the vice-president of Lakers. Buss' father died in 2013, which is when the Lakers were acquired by her and five of her siblings via a trust. Each sibling had an equal number of votes. Buss was elected president of the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss has also been a owner of a portion of Women of Wrestling (a Los Angeles-based pro-wrestling organization).
